SSGO: Explore Japan at a More Comfortable Pace

Behind SSGO is an operator with around a decade of experience in Japan's car-service industry, who began running a fleet in 2024. This work has included driving, coordinating with booking partners and drivers, supporting customers, managing staff and overseeing vehicle maintenance and day-to-day operations.

Often, the most useful help is practical: explaining where to enter an attraction, agreeing on a convenient drop-off point or making the meeting point clear for the return journey. Travellers can also ask their driver about local food and everyday life, drawing on local knowledge while making their own choices.

For families with older relatives or children, discuss rest needs and preferred timings in advance. Stops and breaks can be planned within the agreed route and service hours. If someone needs to return to the vehicle, confirm a safe meeting point where parking is permitted; children should remain accompanied by an adult. Communication and assistance depend on the selected service language and driver arrangements.

The operator recalls personally driving a multi-day journey in early 2020. One evening, a guest realised they had left their earrings at a hotel the group had already departed. The operator offered to call the hotel.

The first enquiry brought no result. A further call did not resolve it either. After returning home, the guest asked for one more enquiry. Around three or four days after the loss was discovered, another call finally brought good news: the hotel staff had found the earrings.

The hotel could post them within Japan but could not arrange international delivery. The operator received the parcel and then forwarded it to the guest, who expressed their thanks.

This is a recollection from the operator's earlier career. It is a reminder that the trust formed during a journey can continue after the driving is finished.

Through booking partners, the operator and the fleet have also participated in transport for personnel working on activities during the Osaka Expo, alongside other event, meeting and visiting-group journeys.

SSGO can take enquiries for large events requiring more than 100 vehicles, including on-site dispatch coordination. Mixed vehicle types, staggered departures and multiple pickup points require advance planning. Vehicle numbers, types and availability are confirmed for each event.

For large requirements, we generally recommend contacting us around a month ahead, or six to eight weeks during busy periods. Urgent or high-specification requests can also be discussed, with resources and pricing confirmed individually.

When selecting drivers, we consider their experience, service history and feedback from previous working relationships. Vehicle cleanliness, basic condition checks, periodic inspections and maintenance are also important parts of fleet operations.

Choose a vehicle by considering passengers, luggage and the journey together. The illustration features a Toyota Alphard, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Toyota Hiace and Toyota Coaster. Standard travel and business services have different vehicle selections; check the chosen product or confirmed proposal for the available model and configuration. A model's stated seat count is not automatically its passenger capacity.

For a multi-day itinerary, several vehicles, a bus or unusual travel times, share your dates, passenger and luggage details, pickup and final destination, and main requirements.
