SSGO (referred to below as ‘we’ or ‘us’) provides bookings for ground transportation and related services in Japan through the website ssgo.co and the SSGO mobile app (together, the ‘Platform’). We value your personal information, and this Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect it.
1. Scope
This Policy applies when you visit the Platform, register or sign in, request a quote, submit an order, pay, or use customer-support features and we process your personal information.
If the Platform redirects you to a third-party website or app, such as a Stripe or PayPal checkout page, that third party will process information under its own privacy policy. Please review that policy separately.
2. Information we collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Account and contact information: email address (for OTP sign-in and order notifications), and the name, telephone number, flight number, trip notes, and other details you provide voluntarily.
- Order and itinerary information: product selection, travel date, pickup and drop-off locations, passengers, luggage, add-ons, and other fields you submit in a form.
- Payment-related information: payment method (such as credit card, PayPal, or Alipay International), amount due, and payment status. Stripe, PayPal, and other payment institutions process full card numbers directly; we do not store full card numbers or CVV on our servers.
- Device and log information: browser type, device type, navigation path, referring page, and access time. To prevent abuse and measure visits, we may use device identifiers such as a browser fingerprint and the IP address visible in your network request.
- Approximate location: for traffic statistics, a third-party interface may provide country- or city-level location, not precise GPS location.
- Cookies and sessions: used to maintain sign-in state, language and currency preferences, cart contents, and security verification such as an OTP challenge token.
- Marketing and analytics, if enabled: with your consent or where permitted by law, tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel may collect conversion and page-view data.
- Instant quotes and address search: when you use address suggestions or route quotes, the location you enter is processed through Google Maps APIs called by our server.
3. Purposes for using information
We use information to:
- Process bookings, calculate prices, collect payment, create orders, and send order confirmations and service-notification emails;
- Provide sign-in, account and order lookup, and customer support;
- Match and coordinate compliant local passenger-transport suppliers in Japan to perform the transport service;
- Prevent fraud, API abuse, duplicate orders, and protect system security through measures including rate limits and verification;
- Improve the product experience, measure traffic, and optimize website and app performance;
- Comply with laws and regulatory requirements and respond to lawful requests from competent authorities.
4. Information sharing and delegated processing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it or delegate its processing only where necessary for the purposes above, with the following types of recipients:
- Payment institutions, such as Stripe and PayPal, to complete online payment;
- Email services, such as Resend, to send verification codes and order email;
- Cloud and hosting services, such as Vercel, to operate the website and API;
- Data-storage services, such as Airtable, to store products, orders, and site configuration;
- Map and route services, such as Google Places and Routes APIs, for quotes and address resolution;
- The actual carrier: to perform your booked trip, we provide the selected local passenger-transport supplier in Japan with the necessary contact name, time, and location.
5. Storage location and retention period
Data may be stored in Japan, the United States, or other regions where we or our vendors operate. We retain information as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.
Order records and records related to accounting or dispute handling are generally retained for a reasonable period after the transaction is completed (for example, several years), unless the law requires a longer retention period.
6. Your rights
Where applicable law grants them, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection, and withdraw marketing consent.

7. Minors
The Platform is intended primarily for users with full legal capacity. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, use the Platform only with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian.
8. Security measures
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including HTTPS transmission, access controls, production-key management, OTP verification, and server-side validation of payment amounts. No internet transmission is completely secure, so keep your account and verification codes safe.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy and post the new version here. Material changes may be announced on the site or by email. Continued use means acceptance of the updated Policy.
